Our treatments

Anti-wrinkle Injection

Anti wrinkle injections contain purified bacteria that relax muscles and prevent the formation of fine lines and wrinkles caused by facial expressions. Best used for wrinkles that are caused by facial muscle movement, these are often called “expression lines.” These lines are usually caused by smiling, frowning, squinting and other facial expressions.

When anti-wrinkle injections area injected into the muscles, they temporarily relax the nerve signals at targeted areas. By reducing muscle movement, wrinkles will be softened, reduced or even disappear (temporarily).

The most common areas for anti-wrinkle injections are:

  • Shape and lift brow line

  • Improve frown lines

  • Diminish crow’s feet

  • Can also be used for excessive sweating and migraines (please contact your GP to see if these options are right for you)

Treatment usually takes an average of 15-30mins with no down time.

How long will effects last?

Effects can last 3-4 months.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers contain ingredients (usually hyaluronic acid) that add fullness and plumpness to areas of the face that have thinned out due to ageing. They are specifically designed to be injected underneath the skins surface to add volume and fullness. Common areas of treatment are the lips, cheeks and around the mouth where wrinkles called static wrinkles are present, usually due to loss of collagen and elasticity of the skin.

The most common uses for dermal fillers are:

  • Improve dark circles and undereye sagging

  • Reshape jowl line

  • Restore volume and plumpness to lips

  • Reduce deeper facial lines

  • Correct nose shape

  • Enhance plumpness in cheeks

  • Correcting hollowness in the temple area

Treatment usually takes on average 15-30mins (depending on the area treated) with no down time (minimal bruising may infrequently occur).

How long will the treatment last?

Results may last an average of 12 months or more depending on the area/product. However it may stimulate some restoration which can exceed the expected timeframe.

Profhilo

The latest innovation in anti ageing, Profhilo is an amazing skin bio-remodelling injection. It’s formula contains one of the highest concentrations of pure hyaluronic acid on the market at which is able to target multiple layers of the skin. While it is still an injectable, this formula is not intended to add physical volume (like fillers) or prevent muscle movement (anti wrinkle injections). By injecting high levels of hyaluronic acid beneath the skin’s surface this we can restore skin firmness, tone and elasticity in ways that cannot be achieved through the application of skincare products onto the skin surface alone.

Our clinicians look to Profhilo to improve skin tone, texture, hydration and overall radiance. It can also help to increase skin firmness and elasticity while promoting healthier and softer-looking skin. Profhilo is most commonly used for the face, but it can also be used to rejuvenate the neck, chest, arms and hands.

The most common uses for Profhilo are:

  • Improve skin tone

  • Improve skin texture

  • Restore hydration

  • Overall radiance

How long does it take?

Treatment is administered in two parts, a month apart. Each treatment session usually takes on average 15-30 minutes including prepping the skin surface (depending on the area treated) with no down time (minimal bruising may infrequently occur).

How long will the treatment last?

Results are expected to last up to 6 months or more depending on the area/product.

Is treatment painful?

Similar to anti wrinkle injections, you will feel a pinprick upon needle entry and tugging upon removal. Bruising and/or swelling is minimal if at all. Ice can be applied to the area to improve comfort.

*Not recommended for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding

Skin Booster

Also known as hydrating fillers, skin boosters are micro injections of hyaluronic acid in combination with essential amino acids, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants formulated with the aim of stimulating new collagen and elastin.

What is Hyaluronic Acid?

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance found in all living organisms. It is popularly studied and used for it's ability to retain water. This property allows it to help maintain the elasticity of the skin and connective tissue.

What is the difference between dermal fillers and skin boosters?

Dermal fillers are used to fill and plump an area under the skin such as sunken facial cavities or deep wrinkles and crevices. Skin boosters are also injected under the skin, however the purpose of the injected product is to provide a burst of moisturising and nourishing ingredients directly to the source. Skin boosters do not provide a physical space filling capability, rather they promote regeneration and restructuring of skin tissue to improve firmness and elasticity.

Are there any side effects?

There is minimal side effects which can include temporary redness, bruising and on rare occasions small lumps which are not visible and quickly dissolve into the skin.

Steroid Injection

Cortisone injections are best used to treat severe and sustained deep-tissue acne, different to cysts or nodules. Deep-tissue acne can be painful and last for months on the face or anywhere else on the body. If left untreated, it can cause permanent scarring. Cortisone injections provide fast and effective relief by direct injection into problem sites.

Are the injections painful?

This will depend on how well you normally tolerate needles and the level of swelling in the infected area. In particularly swollen or sore areas, a local anesthetic may be applied to numb the skin and make the treatment as comfortable as possible for you.

Who would benefit from steroid injections?

Your clinician may recommend a cortisone shot if you have particularly persistent cystic acne that is not responding to other treatment methods.

How often should I have the injections?

Cortisone injections should occur no earlier than 6 weeks in between each treatment. They are not a regular maintenance therapy, rather they are recommended for occasional use of more extreme cases of acne.
