Tattoo Removal

definition

Removal of a tattoo, as with the use of lasers to destroy the ink itself.

Tattoos are a way to showcase your personality and they are great until you no longer want them on your skin. They become a constant reminder that no longer serves you.

We understand how you feel and we can help you remove it.

How we remove tattoos

Our skilled laser technicians are able to successfully remove tattoos of all colours on any area of the body. Tattoo removal is a long term commitment and will take much longer than the original tattoo application. Our team is happy to support and guide you through the entire process.

Over a course of 5-10 treatments, your therapist will assess your skin types, the colours in your tattoo and the level or heat your skin can tolerate. We will use targeted laser light to scatter the coloured dye under the skin’s surface, allowing the body to naturally absorb the now weakened dye particles over time leaving a new blank canvas.

Our treatments

Q Switch Laser Therapy

Using the latest and safest laser technology, the Q switch laser is able to effectively target all ink colours on many areas of the body. After carefully analysing the colours present in your tattoo, your therapist will apply targeted bursts of energy to ink pigment in order to break it into smaller pieces that the body is able to naturally absorb and dispose of. Just as tattoo ink is layered into the skin, the Q switch must work in layers to remove the ink pigment under the skin. As we are applying quite a strong heat pulse into the skin, it needs to recover in between each session to allow us to progressively remove all the ink present. Anaesthetics and ice may be used to ensure your treatment is as comfortable as possible.

FAQ

How much does it cost?

Pricing depends on the size of the tattoo and the number of colours.

We provide a comprehensive consultation that, among other factors, assesses your skin type and the size of your tattoo before giving you a firm quote. Our price starts from $90 (GST inclusive).

Is tattoo removal painful?

Unfortunately the method of heat application into the skin to disperse ink particles can cause some discomfort. We can offer topical anaesthetic cream (numbing cream) and local anaesthetic (numbing injection) to make the experience more comfortable for you, at an extra cost.
